Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority has been awarded as best partner

On 29, November 2019 Rwanda celebrated the Tax Payers Appreciation Day, a ceremony held at Intare Conference Arena, with the theme “Pay Tax Build a Better Rwanda”.

During the ceremony, Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority (RLMUA) has been chosen and awarded as best partner of Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) for its role in registering and availing all land information and properties that could generate taxes.

The Director General of RLMUA, Espérance Mukamana, has been given the award by the Minister of Finance, Uzziel Ndagijimana who thanked her for the efforts and contribution made by RLMUA to the national development.

Today, RLMUA has linked its system (Land Administration Information System=>LAIS) to RRA for easy sharing of the useful information and up to now RLMUA has also linked its system to other systems used in RDB, MINAGRI, MINIJUST, etc. in order to help them to access the necessary information in fulfilling their mandates.

The fiscal year 2018/2019 Rwanda Revenue Authority collected 1,442.9 billion exceeding 2.2% of the estimated revenue which was 1,392.1 billion Rwandan francs. In 2019/2020 national budget is estimated to 2,876.9 billion Rwandan franc, 68.3% of it will be collected by RRA.
